Thank you for taking an interest in Joining Eastbourne Electric Car Club.

Hopefully, around this website you have found all the information you need, visited the club to see what we are all about, and are now looking to become a member.

We currently have two types of member, Junior (under 16 on Jan 1st), Senior but we do have a family membership discount. Membership runs from January 1st to December 31st. After July 1st each year the membership fees are subject to a 50% discount.

Race fees are due for any meeting you enter and race at as per the tables below.

In addition to the membership we do require all members to become a BRCA Member, this costs £30 per year for an adult or £15 for a junior and runs 1st January to 31st December, and is required once a new driver (member or not) has attended three race meetings or a returning driver attends their first meeting of the year. Joining the BRCA is now done via the BRCA website www.brca.org not via the club, and must be done prior to entering your first meeting of the year.

Club membership is not a requirement, if you do not wish to be a member of the club, you can still race, and compete in all the championships but the race fees are slightly increased, detailed below.

PLEASE NOTE: Non-Member Drivers are also required to be BRCA members and must present their BRCA car when they enter a meeting.

The BRCA ?

Eastbourne Electric Car Club is affiliated to the BRCA (British Radio Car Association) which is the National Body in the UK that looks after our interests with the sport of RC. One of the advantages of our club being a member of the BRCA is the insurance coverage it gives us, however it does require every club member or racer at the track to be a BRCA member also. If you are new to the sport, you do not have to become a member straight away, but you do need to join after you have attended 3 race meetings.

The price of joining the BRCA is currently £30 per year for an adult membership and £15 per year for a junior, and membership runs January to December.

If you are a non-racer but need to enter the track area during meetings, a reduced rate a non-racer membership is available for £15 per year, again membership runs January to December.
