BTCC - July 27th 2008

Firstly, Eastbourne Electric Car Club would like to thank Schumacher Racing, Mark Musgrove, Tim Walden and Chris Ashton for giving us the chance to host a round of the Shcumacher BTCC.

After last years dreadful weather and consequential cancellation after such a great day of practice, we hoped this year would prove the opposite, and it did. The weather was fantastic, the BBQ Babes were back in action and the racing was very close, what more could we ask for.

With Schumacher providing a Free entry to this event when you brought a set of tyres the pits were buzzing with anticipation waiting for the arrival of the tyre supply. Around 200 sets of tyres arrived at the track and almost all the tyres were gone by about lunch time.

Thanks again go to Schumacher for putting together the race report found below, you can also find the full days race results in the results section and by clicking here. For further information on the Schumacher BTCC Series have a look at the Schumacher Racing Website, and head to the forum, and you can enter the series by visiting the Central Booking Website.

Again, thanks to Schumacher Racing, we hope to see you again next year.

Schumacher BTCC Rd 7 (Sunny) Eastbourne!!

The Schumacher BTCC round 7 took place at our most southern track in the series Eastbourne .All was set for a good days racing in all classes the weather looked like it was going to get very hot later in the day so a good first run would be crucial. As in previous meetings in the series some drivers had practiced on the Saturday but it was not a forgone conclusion which driver would win their class.
